 Aura too limited

The guitar itself is great as far as fit and finish, but the Aura system is too limited. It has such a boomy sound and srummed chords are over saturated. There is no clear distinction of strings, so the sound is too washed out. Teh Aura has no tone controls and you don’t have a bypass option to just use the Matrix pickup alone. I returned it.

 Beautiful sounding & looks

I don’t write many reviews, but thought that the last review was incorrect.
I have plenty of tonal variance in my Alvarez FCF7103, it’s a pleasure to play, sounds great live, and good for recording.
Clearly “live” playing is where this finds its niche – no soundhole, minimised feedback, and a thin body for comfortable playing.
I’ve played for almost 40 years, and have owned and played more guitars than I can shake a stick at.
Apart from a couple of old favourites, I swap my guitars every few months, but have had this for over a year and it’s still getting regular use.
I have heard that the pickup wiring for the tone control can come loose – cancelling out the tone control and requiring a single point resolder (a job a keen amateur could do) – maybe this explains the previous review?
Lovely guitar. Imported mine to the UK, and glad I did!
